Currently, Nigeria is in the top ten of the most populous counties of the world. It also has one of the highest growth rates in the world. The country is divided into many ethnic groups such as the Edo, Yoruba, Igbo and Hausa. Oil is a significant resource in Nigeria. Oil has boosted the Nigerian economy while at the same time allowing it to pay off its debt. The decline in oil production is said to be a factor in the rise of 419 internet fraud. 419 email scams and other types of fraud are being fought by the Nigerian authorities. Some of the results have been successful with criminals being brought to justice and in some cases stolen money being recovered. |
