The following scam com example is a scam letter from Ontario, Canada. The typical scam communication usually takes place through email. The scam com author tries to get the potential scam victim to respond with personal information. The check scam commences when the victim is sent a check to be cashed. The proceeds of the check are then sent back. The theme found in this scam communication is one where the scam victim has won an international lottery just for having an email address which is one of the many used in the lottery scams. Unlike the phishing scam com that uses a fake website, the lottery scam letter usually states that millions of dollars are waiting for the scam victim. Lottery scam comes from many different countries but more often from the UK. Lottery scams such as this one are an exception because it claims to be an international lottery from Canada.
