The following scam com example is a scam letter from London, England that pretends to be a bank. The typical scam communication usually takes place through email. The scam com author tries to get the potential scam victim to respond with personal information. The check scam commences when the victim is sent a check to be cashed. The proceeds of the check are then sent back. The theme found in this scam communication is based on compensating 419 fraud victims which is one of the many used in the European and African scam. Unlike the phishing scam com that uses a fake website, the African scam letter usually states that millions of dollars are waiting for the scam victim.
