Internet Scams: UK Email; Is It A Scam From The United Kingdom?

The current Internet scam appears to be a job offer of some kind from the United Kingdom or Great Britain. Most of the time, UK Internet scams usually have a lottery theme. Some of the most common Internet scams are the UK lottery scam which is also called the UK lotto scam and the African scam letter which asks the scam victim to act as next of kin.

One of the questions that not enough people ask themselves when reading an email stating it is from a foreign country should be: is it a scam? It is a fact that people lose money to online scammers all the time by answering emails that they think have good intentions. Even if an email does not indicate it is from the UK or from some other country outside the United Kingdom it could be an Internet scam. If the answer to the question: "is it a scam?" cannot be decided with certainty, it would be better to assume that it is.

To answer to question: "is it a scam?", certain attributes and elements of the UK Internet scam should be examined carefully. Many online Internet scams use certain greetings that are not common to non scam emails. While the greeting in this particular email might seem innocuous, it has enough similarity to verified Internet scams that it can be viewed with suspicion. In addition, it is well known that scammers use links to legitimate websites to help validate their email message while the email address that is given is not connected to the website as in this example. By observing certain attributes and elements of scam emails it is possible to answer the question: is it a scam? It is also possible to avoid becoming a victim of UK Internet scams.
